At Chambre Bleue Press we know that many entrepreneurs, experts, and executives want to add ‘author’ to their bio.

BUT…writing a book is a big undertaking, publishing a book is complex and confusing, and marketing a book can sometimes feel impossible.

Self-publishing carries a stigma of bad books, ugly covers, and a lot of work for little reward.

Then you get to marketing and most book marketing plans end at the launch, leaving authors with a big bill and very little to show for it, certainly no plan for incorporating the book into their business or creating a strategy for adding long-term value.

So we set out to reimagine what could be possible.

Meet our founder

Hi, I’m Michelle Fishering. I’m a multi-passionate entrepreneur and visionary strategist. As far as roles go, I’m a publisher, editor, book coach, author consultant, ghostwriter, and thought leadership strategist.

A few things you should know about me right upfront:

  • I have a near-obsessive love of learning.

  • I’ve never met a question I didn’t want to ask.

  • I don’t do small talk but I’ll happily dive right into the juicy stuff and dig in (yes, even with total strangers) because my fascination with other humans outweighs all social conventions.

  • I’m an avid independent thinker and a compassionate skeptic.

  • I’ll always choose blazing a new trail over following the well-trodden path.

  • I’m shameless with metaphors. I extend them, I mix them, I love them…don’t say I didn’t warn you!

Ok, onto what you came here for…

When I started working in the book industry nearly ten years ago now, I tried to bite my tongue at the inefficiencies, the gatekeeping, and the overt lack of professionalism I saw. It seemed like everyone around me just accepted this as a quirk of the industry. But I’ve never been very good at accepting things that make no sense…see notes above. So I did what I do best and started asking questions. It didn’t take long before I decided there had to be a better way to serve authors, to bring excellent books into the world, and to get those books into the hands of readers.

Over the last decade, I’ve worked with dozens of authors to bring their book visions to life. I hold a Master of Fine Arts in Creative Writing as well as certifications in book coaching, advanced marketing, and operations management, just to name a few! Before sinking my teeth into the book world, I spent nearly 15 years building for 7- and 8-figure businesses from the ground up in the luxury fine wine industry. 

I live with my hubby and pups on a farm in western Colorado where we make wine, raise livestock, and enjoy the pleasures of the simple life.
